Finding Your Balance In 6-9 inch Platform Stilettos

Fear Of Falling, No Worries Your Not Alone
Believe it or not, but the majority of pole dancers struggled with their walk in the beginning of their journey too. It is a lot more common than someone might think. For example, when I started pole dancing, I was not able to even stand up in them, let alone walk around. So I'm gonna share the things that helped me on my journey in hopes that they will be helpful for you as well.
Tips to help you slay your strut in stilettos

Step 1 - Get Grounded and Stay Grounded
Get Grounded... Yes, that is step 1. I know it seems too easy, right? When done correctly, though, it isn't as simple as it may sound. This also means it is very important that you choose the shoe that works best for you. If you are not used to wearing normal heels regularly, I do not recommend pole dancing in 9-inch heels to start off in; 6-inch heels would be the safest and most logical choice, with an ankle strap if possible. If the ankle strap isn't a choice, then the shoe must fit snugly, not tight, just snug enough that it doesn't fly off mid-dance. Click Here To View Stilletos & Fashions I personally use!
Grounding helps you to get centered, and once you're centered, your nervous system knows that you are safe, and you should feel calm. And remaining calm, you can focus on the basics and set an intention with each step. which brings us to the next step. https://a.co/d/0bE3Vtry
If you are like me and need to practice standing in them first ,here is what worked for me .... I wore them to do all of my house chores for an entire week. To vacuum to sweep and mop, and even while i was washing dishes. And the beginning of the very next week i was able to not only stand in the heels but i was able to walk in them too.
Step 2 - Master the Heel Placement
Mastering heel placement is crucial for a confident stiletto walk. Instead of stepping flat-footed, focus on the ball of your foot and gradually lower your heel down, allowing your body to adjust with each step. It may feel awkward at first, but with practice, you'll develop a natural rhythm. Remember, each step is a chance to set your intention, so take your time and embrace the journey.
Step 3 - Lead With The Hips
Your hips initiate every movement. Movement should start at your bodies core and flow up and outwards. Start by slowly shifting your hip forward before stepping - creating a notable sway instead of forced motion. Often this action can be over-exaggerated, which gives more of a throwing movement rather than to just flow in motion.
Step 4 - Posture = Power
The way you hold yourself is the energy that you also will give off. Strong posture is not stiff. It is lifted, open, and grounded. Imagine a string pulling your crown of your head upward while your shoulders melt down your back. As a beginner in pole dancing, many of us tend to arch our lower backs too much. Power comes from alignment, not strain. Remember, we do not chase attention; we command it with our presence.
Step 5 - Eye Contact & Focus
Your gaze controls the room. Where your eyes go, your energy follows. Eye contact creates connection, mystery, and authority - even dancing alone! Pick a focal point and hold your gaze for 2 - 3 steps before shifting slowly. This creates intention and magnetism. Try to refrain from looking down too often because it disconnects your energy and shrinks your presence.
Step 6 - Slow It Down

What does slowing it down actually mean? its taking your time and not rushing through movements, it is allowing yourself the time to feel the emotion before releasing it out through your body. Honestly if you feel or think that you're moving to slow, its probably perfect. we are going to slow down and not rush through the movements , because rushing disconnects you from your energy and will often look choppy. think Sensual not sexual , that will help to slow it down and refrain from rushing. if you need any further clarification or help you can follow the link above and id be glad to help if you reach out.
Step 7 - Add Your Hands and Arms
This step is very important because it pertains to displaying your energy and attitude when it comes to embodiment and character. Using soft gentle body touches and body tracing are essential in slaying your signature strut in stilettos. This will become a part of what sets yours apart from the others and makes it yours. Think of your hands when your body is tracing as if they are hand fans and you're using them to push your energy out further and into a specific crowd. Your arms and hands are used to extend the energy field you are wanting to share. Use them as if you could literally reach them far enough to touch others.

Step 8 - Is Embodiment Over Perfection
The best thing you can do to enhance the power and energy of your signature strut is to be authentic and embody your true emotion. Embodiment is about allowing your body to fully express every emotion and to be present without constantly criticizing yourself and how you move. A flawless walk means nothing without feeling.
Your body already knows how to move ___ embodiment is to simply give yourself permission to trust it!
